Dance me to the bathroom
O daughter of mine
Dance me down the hallway
in a conga line
Dance me to my chair, to my final bed
Dance me to the beginning
where I will rest my head
Dance me at the wedding
I' ll dance you down the aisle
Dance me past the sorrow...the anger and the lies
Dance me down the highway
in my fancy car
Dance me to the water
behind my favorite bar
I'll dance you through your
pain into the brightest light
You will dance with me in stillness
to hold my head up high
The dancing will connect us through
all of space and time
I will dance with you for always
in the hollows of my mind.

Hi there, Angela. Just saw your blognote on FB and trotted over to take a look. I very much like this poem. And will keep an eye out for future posts. Just a friendly 'uncle' note--take a look at 'pieces' in your subhead.
